The Orange County Register: Herb & Ranch’s Culinary Expert Featured in Bravo’s Top Chefs

The Emmy-winning “Top Chef” reality competition television series has been around for some time now. Audiences all over the world have been wowed by the variety of cooking challenges presented and the creativity of the chefs as they battle for that coveted top spot. Orange County is proudly home to some of these top contestants, many of whom have gone on to become leading restaurateurs and celebrity chefs.

One of them, Season 17’s Brian Malarkey recently opened the doors to his new restaurant in the heart of the University of California campus.

The chef opened Herb & Ranch at the UCI Research Park campus. The casual, multi-dining concept (read: food hall) serves breakfast and lunch from five stations. The breakfast burrito with pork lardons, potatoes and cheese is a must-try.
